Vancouver Island doesn’t disappoint
When it comes to foraging for mushrooms, Vancouver Island doesn’t disappoint. Its forests are filled with fungi and lichen not all are edible but they are all interesting, we would even say some are beautiful. We were on the hunt for chanterelle and matsutake mushrooms. We did find a few but nothing like previous years. Most of these were spotted at the Heritage Forest in Qualicum Beach. Do you recognize any of these?
