Va Bene, capturing the flavours of traveling through Italy

October 7, 2016 by Nat & Tim 11 Comments

VaBene

A Cook Not Mad is heading to Northern Italy on another exciting tour. After logging thousands of miles, pictures and hundreds of recipes on previous trips to Italy the idea for our new book, Va Bene, was born. This trip will find us visiting some of our favourite spots and discovering plenty of new ones in order to seek out authentic Italian cuisine and the people involved in making it.

Lead by the stomach of a seasoned chef (Tim) and the eye of a gifted photographer (Nat), Va Bene, will feed you some of the best food and stunning surroundings Italy has to offer. Digging deeper while traveling slower.

Discover Orvieto

Filled with classic recipes and a few modern adaptations, Va Bene will stay true to A Cook Not Mad philosophy of providing amazing recipes that will keep you from going mad in the kitchen. For cooks and travellers alike, Va Bene will aim to present a taste of traveling through Italy, exposing the beauty of its people, scenery and most of all, its food.

Now is the time to show your support and follow along as we continue our Italian exploration. A Cook Not Mad will be looking to its followers for advice, direction and recommendations on how we can make “Va Bene” the best it can possibly be. Help us so we don’t miss anything important or skip a delicious location. Ask us a question (or three) and if we don’t have the answer maybe we can discover it on the road together.

“Tell your friends!”

If you’re not already following us on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, what the heck are you waiting for? Our social media will be filled with all sorts of fun that may or may not make it into the book and we want you along for the ride! We have been pretty reserved recently, quietly going about the work of our life’s passion but now it’s time to call in a favour. If I have ever cooked for you over the years (and there have been thousands!), if you were a customer, if we worked together, if you have read our blog, liked our page or consider yourself or someone you know “A Cook Not Mad” we want you along for the ride!

3 months in Italy

We guarantee mouth watering fun and plenty of surprises along the way.

Having traveled to Italy many times over the years and having spent months in its main cities, I have no doubt that you will find plenty of material for your Va Bene book endeavor, and that you will have succulent meals in every part of Italy. What a great adventure!
