SWEET AND SPICY MACADAMIA NUTS

June 3, 2014 by Tim 5 Comments

Enjoy our nuts

If you’re like us, you might enjoy a beer or two once in a while, especially during the summer. And what goes better with a good beer than nuts? Our nuts are sweet and spicy and they go down as easily as a cold pint on a sweltering hot day.

Ingredients
  1. 3 cups plain macadamia nuts
  2. 1/4 cup brown sugar
  3. 2 tsp salt
  4. 2 tsp ground cumin
  5. 1-2 tsp cayenne (to taste)
  6. 1 tsp paprika
  7. 1/2 tsp allspice
  8. 1 tsp cinnamon
  9. 1 tsp ground pepper
  10. 1 egg white
Instructions
  1. Make a spice mix with everything but the egg white.
  2. Beat the egg white in a large bowl until it starts to stiffen and there is no liquid egg at the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Dump in the mac nuts and the spice mix and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Bake at 325F for 15 to 20 minutes, flip them around and continue baking, with the oven turned off, for 20 minutes.

I can see myself actually eating tons of these, when I make them I should control the quantity not to risk to eat an entire bag all in one go 🙂
